Barry
McCarthy was the pick of the bowlers for Ireland as he picked up 3 wickets for
34 runs in 4 overs. George Dockrell bowled two miserly overs for 7 runs and
picked up a couple of wickets. Gareth Delany bowled an excellent spell of 4
overs 1 for 27 as the spinners choked out the runs in the middle overs. Joshua
Little picked up a wicket as well as he finished with 1-33 off 4. Andy McBrine
and Mark Adair went the distance with the latter going for 21 in his final
over. All in all, Ireland bowlers did a decent job as this was a 180 pitch and to restrict them to 168 was commendable.
So, a win by 7 wickets for Ireland gives them a 1-0 series lead in this 5-match T20I series. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation ceremony that comes your way now.
