So that's it from our coverage of match 58 of the Indian Premier League 2022. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshaya Krishna Polya, Ayan Chatterjee and our scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricket coverage from across the globe.
Mitchell Marsh | Player of the match: "It was a tough game. The slower balls were tough to score on this wicket. 160 was par. When you are chasing 160, you need a partnership and the innings with Davey was fantastic. First four or five overs in powerplays in T20s, the ball is swinging and the bounce on this wicket was very nice. We knew its gonna be a tough wicket so we tried to build a partnership. I am happy with the performance and we got a win. Last couple of games I got the ball to hit where I wanted and got the big score. Very happy the way we got the win. I honestly I snatched it first (Boult delivery). I am not great at that, it was definitely not out. In this game, definitely lots of luck (with the drops), looking forward for more."
Rishabh Pant | Delhi Capitals Skipper: "It was very close to perfect. I say there is room for improvement every game but yeah, it was a good one. On this kind of surface, you can bat first and bowl first. I feel we bowled well today. I said earlier that anything around 150-160 would be nice and we are glad we defended that. We will give our 100% and look to win every match. Fielding is the area we would like to improve but I guess this was a near perfect match for us. He (Prithvi Shaw) got typhoid or something like that, the team doctor told me he is unavailable. Hopefully he will make a comeback for us."
Mitchell Marsh is the Player of the Match!
David Warner: "Feels great to get across the line. How good was Mitch there? He went there and was positive and we said to him if he gets to 80-90, he wins the game and that's what he did. Credit to him and the bowlers. I think the hard length is the way to go. Some balls are stopping here and there. We have another game in a couple of days and we hope we do well there. To win by a massive margin is great, as that helps us. This tournament is so competitive that there is a win/loss for us. Hope we can win the next game and build on it for us, We are happy to win today. The moral is high and we are looking forward to the next game. Unfortunate for Khaleel to miss out due to an injury cloud."
Sanju Samson | Rajasthan Royals Skipper: "Yeah, very disappointing night. Ahh!!! A few runs short and a few wickets short as well in the middle overs. When we were batting the wicket was a bit tow paced. We were around 15-runs short in the first innings. But in the second innings the ball came nicely on to the bat. We didn't had our luck going our way in the second innings. A few dropped catches and a bail not falling off after the ball hitting the stumps didn't help us either. I thought that the ball was met with the bat and just bat. So I think I and Boult missed out on that review. We are known for comebacks and we will comeback stronger. He (on Hetmyer's availability) is set to comeback later at some stage!!"
Excellent all round performance from the Delhi Capitals have kept them in the hunt of the qualifiers with 12 points as they defeat the Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets. Sanju Samson lost another toss as Rishabh Pant called it right in the middle and sent the Royals in to bat first.

Delhi got a good start thanks to Chetan Sakariya who was drafted in place of Khaleel Ahmed in the eleven. Sakariya dismissed the orange cap holder Jos Buttler early in the third over of the match and Mitchell Marsh got rid of Yashasvi Jaiswal after the powerplay. R Ashwin promoted at number 3 scored his maiden T20 fifty and added 53 runs with Devdutt Padikkal (48 off 30) for the third wicket as Rajasthan put up a total of 160 for the loss of six wickets. Sakariya, Marsh and Anrich Nortje picked up a couple of wickets.

Delhi also got to a horrible start losing Srikar Bharat on the very second ball of the innings. David Warner played cautiously and stayed till the end getting the winning runs and his half century on the same ball.

Mitchell Marsh joined Warner as the duo kept riding on luck and played exuberant strokes throughout the field making full use of poor deliveries and poor execution from the Rajasthan bowlers.

The duo added 144 for the second wicket as Marsh was dismissed for a well made 89 off 62 deliveries trying to sweep one against the leg break of purple cap holder Yuzvendra Chahal (1-43). Trent Boult (1-32) was the other successful bowler but leaked runs in his second spell.

Warner played the anchor's role throughout and allowed Marsh to play the aggressor, a job which suited both the batters this evening as they almost finished the game till the end. It was Marsh's first half century in the Indian Premier League as he came a couple of strokes away from a hundred.

Stay tuned as we continue with the post match coverage and presentation.
18.1 K Sen to D Warner
3 Short ball here, Warner pulls it away through the midwicket region and misfields as the ball goes away towards the boundary. The fielder gets around and dives which saves a run for his side. But it doesn't matter. The batters have come back for three runs that were required for the win. Warner gets to his fifty and the winning runs as well. The Capitals win this by 8 wickets with 11 balls to spare. A comprehensive win for them.

17.6 Y Chahal to R Pant
6 Fuller and wide from Chahal again, Pant goes down the pitch and handsomely lofts it over deep extra cover for the maximum. Two great hits from Pant to show he is the boss over here. 14 runs off the over. Just 3 runs needed for the win.
17.5 Y Chahal to R Pant
0 Spins it outside off, Pant lets it go.
17.4 Y Chahal to R Pant
6 Fuller and wide, Pant goes down the pitch and lofts it over extra cover for the maximum. What a shot that is. This is a tough and a top shot as well. 150 is up for the Capitals.
17.3 Y Chahal to D Warner
1 Fuller and wide, Warner slashes it through the covers for a single to the deep cover fielder.
17.2 Y Chahal to R Pant
1 Pant is the new batter in. Fuller length here, Pant swings it away into the leg side for a single to get off the mark.

Akshaya: Excellent innings from Mitchell Marsh!! Though he missed his well deserved hundred by 11 runs he had put his team on the brink of victory.
17.1 Y Chahal to M Marsh
W That's up in the air and taken by the short fine-leg fielder. Chahal strikes but is it a little too late in the game? It was in the slot, Marsh tries to slog it away and gets a top edge to Sen who makes no mistake. Marsh goes for an excellent 89. He misses out on a ton though. 2nd wicket falls for 144.
