That's it from the coverage of match number 57 of the Indian Primier League. Ninaad Dixit here, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee and Akshay Krishna Polya and scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricket coverage from across the globe.
Shubman Gill: "Its quite pleasing when you finish the match for the team. I had a chat with Gary as well that I want to finish three or four matches for the team. There was nothing much from the wicket in the beginning but then I was expecting something from the spinners. I think they bowled a bit short. Not many people thought that we would qualify coming in the season but we have done well for ourselves. Couple of back issues but I feel I will be fine for the next match."
Hardik Pandya | Gujarat Titans Skipper: "To be honest really proud of the boys. When we started this journey, we believed in ourselves but didn't think we will qualify before the 14 games. In the last game we thought that the game was over before it actually was. It was a learning for us and we knew that the kind of batters we had, we will finish the game off. But tonight but when they were eight down, we tried to get ruthless and finish off the game. I rate Sai Kishore as a left arm spinner very high. He gets something extra from the wicket with his height and the way he bowls. The way everyone batted especially Shubman was brilliant. I would have taken this total anytime before the match. I guess their bowlers bowled a bit short and we got some advantage from that. I always feel when you lose a game, in a group you have to believe and back your team. We know we messed up a little but we take the credit as a team and not as individual no matter if we win or lose. You need all the players close to you in a game like this and keep the vibe like that. The chat was simple to go hard and to take one game at a time."
Shubman Gill is the player of the match.
Rashid Khan: "Ahh!! Bismillah hirrahman nirrahim !! Yeah, happy to be back among the wickets. I need to bowl on a right line and length. Idea is to build the bot balls and increase the required run rate. I bowled in right lines and lengths and the rewards came my way. I think our seamers too bowled well with the likes of Shami, Joseph and Hardik. We played as a team. We now have qualified for the playoffs but shouldn't take the foot of the gas. We are taking one game at a time and are happy doing the work as the team. I would love the wicket of Jason Holder from today's spell. It was planned and I executed it to perfection. I wanted that leggie at the middle stump line to end at slips but it didn't happen. But I am happy with the LBW and the match result."
KL Rahul | Lucknow Super Giants Skipper: "It was a total we fancied chasing it down. It was a good bowling effort by us on a tricky pitch. But we batted badly, some poor shots and execution cost us. We need to learn from this, sometimes these things are needed to wake up things. In a low-scoring chase, we needed a good powerplay. We wanted to get to 35-40 without losing wickets. But that was not to be. We have to learn how to score against good opposition and look at how we can improve. We will not sit back and overanalyze things. We want to learn from it, and see how we can do better as we go along. It's nothing to panic about, we need to look at areas to improve and come back stronger in the next game."
The Gujarat Titans returned to winning ways and becomes the first team to qualify getting 18 points on the table! An emphatic 62 run victory over fellow newbies Lucknow Super Giants. Nothing went Lucknow's way since the start of the game as Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bat first making three changes to the lineup.

LSG duo of Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khan struck early in the powerplay to push Gujarat on the backfoot but an excellent patient inning from Shubman Gill (63* off 49) set the stage for the Titans. The pitch was always on the slower side and the Lucknow bowlers did well giving nothing away in the slot and bowling tight lines and lengths using the change in pace well.

David Miller (26 off 24) and Rahul Tewatia (22* off 16) helped Shubman to give some finishing touches to the innings as the Titans posted 144-4 on the board. Avesh Khan was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2-26, Mohsin and Jason Holder picked up a wicket each. Krunal Pandya went wicketless but bowled an excellent spell giving away only 24 runs.

The Gujarat bowlers started really well and picked up three wickets in the powerplay. Mohammed Shami bowled a great spell on the top giving away only five runs in three overs and got the opposition skipper KL Rahul out for the second time in the season. Yash Dayal who made a comeback in the XI ahead of Pradeep Sangwan chipped in with 2 wickets in the powerplay getting the prized scalp of Quinton de Kock and debutant Karan Sharma who is also his captain in domestic cricket at Uttar Pradesh.

Only 3 players in the LSG lineup scored in double figures. Deepak Hooda (27 off 26) was the highest scorer and was the ninth man to get back in the hut. Number 11 Avesh Khan hit two sixes off his first two balls against Rashid Khan and was the last man to get out.

After a good start from the fast bowlers, the spin duo of Rashid (4-24) and debutant R Sai Kishore choked up the runs and kept picking wickets with the Tamil Nadu debutant finishing with figures of 2-0-7-2. Wriddhiman Saha was excellent behind the stumps and effected 2 catches, 2 stumpings and a run out.

Stay tuned as we keep you posted with the comments and post match presentation.
13.5 R Khan to A Khan
W There is a big shout for Caught Behind. Saha appeals, but Rashid isn't interested. Hardik sends it upstairs. Avesh tries to swing this into orbit and it seems that there is a spike here. Yes, a clear spike says the on-field umpire and that's the end of the game. Rashid finishes things off here as the Super Giants have been blown away for 82 in 13.5 overs. A win by 62 runs to qualify for the playoffs. 450th T20 wicket for Rashid Khan.
13.4 R Khan to A Khan
0 That's a swing and a miss to the keeper. Avesh is enjoying himself here.
Akshaya: Avesh Khan is playing on a different surface!!! He smashes the wizard for back-to-back sixes.
13.3 R Khan to A Khan
6 Short of a length here, Avesh takes it on and deposits it over midwicket into the stands for the maximum. Two sixes in a row for Avesh.
13.2 R Khan to A Khan
6 Overpitched delivery just outside the off stump. Avesh gets down on one knee and slaps a slog sweep down the ground! Hits this over long on for a massive six! Some late entertainment from the number 11!

13.1 R Khan to D Hooda
W Top edge and taken by Mohammed Shami! Rashid Khan strikes yet again! Over the wicket, another length delivery on the stumps. Hooda goes for the sweep and lobs a top edge behind the stumps. Shami comes running in from short fine leg and takes a wonderful catch behind the keeper!
Akshaya: And it is time for the last strategic time-out of the match. Nothing more to brief out as the fate of the match is almost decided in favour of GT!! Deepak Hooda is the only batter who is delaying the inevitable for LSG. The batting side are 70/8 after 13 overs and still need 75 more from the remaining 42 balls. But they have only two wickets left.
