The five-time champions, Mumbai Indians are yet to win a match this season and today was a must-win game for them. But what an exciting match it turned out! The quality of cricket wasn't the greatest with both sides making several mistakes, but for the viewers, it was a thrilling fare, one that CSK came out at the top. They will hope to continue this momentum and look to improve in the areas where they are not comfortable. We also saw Vintage Dhoni and rightly said, the lion is always the king of the jungle, no matter how old he gets. So that's it, this ride ends right here and it moves to The Wankhede stadium, where the Delhi Capitals will take on the Rajasthan Royals tomorrow. Do join us for the game. Until next time, this is Shubham Agarwal signing off along with my co-commentators Arya SC, Ajay Ahire, and our scorer/analyst, Paras Yadav!
Mukesh Choudhary is the Player of the Match: Been a different journey - I never thought I'd play cricket in the first place. My parents put me in a boarding school in Pune where we played all sports. Then when I got into junior college I lost interest in my studies so I decided to give cricket a try. I tried to swing the ball in the Powerplay and today it did wonders for me. I kept bowling in the nets and I've been working on my wrist positions also. I've been trying from the first game but I knew I'll get the results soon. I don't feel any pressure - when I see all the big ones in the team I lose all kinds of pressure. When you have such big names in the team you just want to go and play bindaas!
Ravindra Jadeja: We were very tense the way game was going. But the great finisher of the game was still there, so we knew we had a chance. He's still here and doing it for us. Yes, he (Mukesh) has bowled well upfront and done well for us in the powerplay. If you aren't winning games, you still want to be come. (On him dropping catches) It happens, that's why I never take fielding for granted and practise hard. We need to work on our fielding, can't afford to drop catches.
Tilak Verma wins the Ruppay on the Go 4s of the Match Award. Held the innings together and took his side to a competitive total.
Riley Meredith bags the Swiggy Fastest Delivery of the Match Award for clocking 145.4 kph in one of his deliveries.
Mukesh Choudhary is also the Upstox Most Valuable Asset of the Match.
Mukesh Choudhary wins the Cred Powerplayer of the Match for his spell of 3/19 in the powerplay.
Ambati Rayudu wins the Unacademy Let's Crack it Sixes Award for hitting three sixes.
Daniel Sams in the Dream11 Game Changer of the Match for acquiring 118 fantasy points.
MS Dhoni is the Punch Super Striker of the Match for his knock of 28 of 13 balls.
Rohit Sharma (Losing Captain): "Yes in the end it was a great game of cricket and boys fought really well till the end. We didn't bat really well, to be honest, but the bowlers kept us in the game. Ms dhoni took them Home in the end as he showed again how towering he could be. I mean it's hard to put a finger on that(Talking about failure of top-order). If you lost three wickets at the start so it will be difficult for anyone to come back into the game. We batted really well in the end but it wasn't enough. MS and Pretorius played really well in the end and they really took the game away from us."
Dwayne Pretorious- Unbelievable (on playing with MS Dhoni). He's the master at finishing off games and he did it again tonight. [On his boundaries off Bumrah] I wanted to go for that scoop shot in the first over against Bumrah, but [Dhoni] said, 'Wait, wait, wait'. I waited and the next over I said, 'Now I'm going.' And he said to go for it. I went for it. We knew we need five boundaries, no dots and we could get over the line tonight. I'm working hard and just glad I could contribute to a win to the team today and hopefully we can win a few more. "
Woah!!!! Boundary off the last ball and Dhoni finishes off in style!!!! What a nail-biting El-Classico this was. 17 runs were needed off the final over and Unadkat could not take the pressure there! CSK win the match by 3 wickets. Tiger Zinda Hai.

Mumbai had one of the worst starts of the season, losing 3 wickets in the first 3 overs, courtesy of Mukesh. The poor form of Ishan and Rohit again hurt Mumbai. Surya Kumar played a good little inning of 32 off 21. Hrithik Shokeen played a good inning on debut and soaked the pressure well. The start player was Tilka Verma(51 off 43), who held one end till the end and made sure to keep the scorecard running and give the MI bowlers some target to defend. Mukesh was the best CsK bowler today(4-19-3) and bowled some great lines and lengths. Santner was very economical in his spell. Dwayne Bravo bowled well today(4-36-2) even though went for a few extra runs. The target was 156.

CSK lost Rituraj to Sams on the first ball of the innings. Santner was promoted up the order but it backfired as he scored just 11. Uthappa and Rayudu stitched a brilliant 50 runs partnership and kept the run rate under control. Uthappa(30 off 25) was looking good but could not control the slower ball and gave his wicket away! Rayudu(40 off 35) played brilliantly today and looked set but got out on a full toss off Sams and gifted his wicket away. Jadeja's poor IPL form continued. Pretorius played a crucial little knock of 22 off 14 but could not finish right!  Sams was the best bowler today, taking 4 wickets for 30. Riley Meredith (4-25-1) and Bumrah(4-29-0) bowled some tight lines and lengths today. Dhoni(28 off just 13) was there till the end and made sure he shows the world that he is NOT FINISHED YET!! Stay tuned for the presentations. Don't go anywhere now!

19.6 J Unadkat to M Dhoni
4 MS Dhoni has taken CSK over the line and this is why he is still one of the best finishers going around. This is calm and composure of a different magnitude. A low full toss this time and Dhoni works it away with finesse down the deep backward square leg region and finds the boundary. Take a bow champion. This has been such a fascinating knock from the former Indian and the CSK skipper.
19.5 J Unadkat to M Dhoni
2 MS Dhoni has taken a couple and he will be on strike for the final delivery of the match. That was bowled brilliantly by Unadkat. Almost under the bat of Dhoni but he manages to work that away down the deep square leg region, in the gap and enough time for Dhoni to take a couple.
19.4 J Unadkat to M Dhoni
4 Runs away for a boundary. MS Dhoni is adding to the drama and he might well take CSK home. Into the wicket this time from Unadkat. Slow off the wicket. Was almost down the leg side and Dhoni helps it around the corner and ends up getting a toppish edge which flies over the short fine leg fielder for a boundary.
Ajay: Vintage MS Dhoni....
19.3 J Unadkat to M Dhoni
6 This is what MS Dhoni is capable of. Classic Dhoni well on queque. That is absolutely smoked down the ground for a maximum. This is crunched away from the centre of the bat and that has been met appropriately. Stays deep in the crease and uses his bottom hand power to drill this up and over and it goes sailing well over the straight boundary.
