That's a wrap on our coverage of Match 32 of the Indian Premier League 2022. Join us tomorrow for IPL's El Classico between the struggling Mumbai Indians and the struggling Chennai Super Kings and for all other cricket around the globe. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentators Ninaad Dixit and Ajay Ahire alongside our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay well, safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight from us until we meet again next time. Cheers!
Kuldeep Yadav, player of the match: "I want to share this award with Axar, he bowled brilliantly and deserves the award. I just wanted to bowl fuller as there was assistance from the pitch. I have earned lots of confidence in this tournament and it helps me focus on my lengths. Yes I err in lengths at times but I still try to focus to bowl on my lengths. I have stopped watching videos now. I have enough experience of playing against them so I just focus on what I have to bowl and don't think what shot the batter would play. I am enjoying my bowling after a long time and Rishabh is also feeling it, the way he is backing the spinners and the fast bowlers as well. It gives lot of confidence to the bowlers and is a very good sign for the team."
Rishabh Pant: "It was a very confusing time in our camp. We got to know in the morning that someone has been tested positive. We then talked around our team and focused on the game and won't pay heed to the noise. We will look ahead to every game, that's what we can do. Results are not in our control, we can always come back and do better. The ball was stopping a bit in the second over, so I decided that I will use the spinners more than the fast bowlers. We were looking to get them out early and chase the total early as well."
Kuldeep Yadav is the player of the match.
David Warner: "I think the bowlers did a fantastic job to make our job a little easier. The plan was to go hard at the powerplay and chase down a small total. Our bowlers did a phenomenal performance and the pitch was different than the other night. Am glad we could play tonight, didn't think of Net Run Rate. The form is temporary, class is permanent. Yes, the family was disappointed with me getting 66 and not 100 because Jos gets 100s nowadays. But happy and delighted with the performance today. Credit to our bowlers for the win. We completed the formalities. "
Mayank Agarwal (Losing captain): "Yaa It's a tough one to swallow. A day to forget for us, we didn't bat and bowl really well. We need to look forward now and not think too much about this game. Obviously lost the wickets early in the powerplay but as I said I don't want to dig in too much so and keep the negative thinking away. A target of 180 would have been perfect in the hindsight. I could have given a couple of overs to spinners in the powerplay but missed the trick there."
The day belongs to the Delhi Capitals! Right from winning the toss, electing to bowl first and then making merry of the conditions both with the bat and the ball!

The Capitals bowling attack got together and dismissed the Punjab Kings for a paltry 115 in 20 overs. Axar Patel (2-10), Khaleel Ahmed (2-21), Lalit Yadav (2-11) and Kuldeep Yadav (2-24) picked up a couple of wickets each with Mustafizur Rahman chipping in with the skipper Mayank Agarwal's wicket in the powerplay.

The Kings managed to score 47 runs and lost three wickets in the powerplay. The Capitals' powerplay was the opposite and the opening pair of David Warner (60* off 30) and Prithvi Shaw (41 off 20) made merry of the conditions as they attacked the seamers and the spinners equally well and scored 81 runs in the first six overs without losing a wicket.

Prithvi Shaw soon departed when he mistimed a slog sweep to Nathan Ellis at deep midwicket against Rahul Chahar who picked the solitary wicket for the Kings. Both the openers were magnificent with their footwork as they pulled and played the cut stroke with precision whenever the length was short and attacked on the front foot whenever they got the deliveries in their slot.

This has been one of the greatest victories for the Delhi Capitals and coming back after whatever happened in their bubble in the past few days, after the COVID outbreak and losing out on Mitchell Marsh's services, coming out and playing like this is a really commendable effort as they climb up to the sixth spot with three wins and three losses on the points table.
10.3 R Chahar to D Warner
4 Short of a length, Warner pulls it away through the square leg region for a boundary as Warner finishes things off in style. A comprehensive win for the Capitals over the Kings by 9 wickets with 57 balls. A statement made by Pant and his men despite all the adversities they have faced.
10.2 R Chahar to S Khan
1 Short and wide, Sarfaraz cuts it through covers for a single. Scores are level now.
10.1 to D Warner
1 Tosses it up on off, Warner tucks it around the corner behind square for a single.
Over to Ayan now.

9.6 N Ellis to D Warner
1 Another single from Warner to end the over. Only 3 runs are needed now. Fuller length a tad outside the off. Warner gets that one past the short cover fielder for a single.
9.5 N Ellis to S Khan
1 Gets a single this time. Fuller length on the off. Sarfaraz pushes that one towards the mid-off for a quick single.
9.5 N Ellis to S Khan
WD A wide ball this time from Ellis. Misses the radar this time. Bouncer from the pacer but he slides down the leg stump line.
9.4 N Ellis to D Warner
1 Drags his length back on the pads. Warner swivels it towards the deep square leg for a single.
9.3 N Ellis to D Warner
4 FOUR!!! Fifty for Warner with that four. Great batting this from the Aussie. He cuts that one very fine and brings up his 53rd half century of IPL. Ellis hits the good length outside the off. Warner waits on that one and cuts that one past the third man for a four here.
9.2 N Ellis to S Khan
1 Gets a single this time. Slightly back of a length a tad outside the off. He steers it towards the third man for a single.
