That's it from today! RCB have won a close game again and its their main man, DK who does it for them. He is yet to be dismissed in this IPL and  has been brilliant with the bat so far. Do join us tomorrow at 7pm for another exciting contest, MI VS KKR. Until then, this is Shubham signing off along with my co-commentators Arya Sekhar Chakraborty and Ayan Chatterjee. Until then, Goodnight and stay healthy!
Dinesh Karthik | Player of the Match: I think I made a conscious effort this year to do justice to myself because last year, I felt I could have done better. The way I trained was much better this time around. I back myself to finish matches from such situations. Credit to the person who trained with me. I'm making a conscious effort to tell myself that I'm not done yet. A lot is still left within me. When I went in, we needed 12 rpo and I just had to keep going. I train for these situations. To stay calm and know which bowler you can take down. I've tried to play as much white-ball cricket as possible, and prepare for as many scenarios as possible. Many people have spent time with me in this journey of mine, leading up to the tournament and that work goes mostly unnoticed. I think in T20 cricket, it's mostly premeditating but you also need to be clear about where to target and how to play your shots.
Faf du Plessis, RCB skipper- That's one out of the hat. Look once again to put it out of nowhere was great. DK's composure towards the end was unbelievable. That calmness towards the end was simply phenomenal. He is a great asset to us. I think we bowled really well up until about the 18th over and then Jos got a few shots in which put the bowlers under pressure. We knew the ball would he spinning. The start wasn't the ideal one. Yuzi came in and bowled really well. He has got all the tricks. But the highlight of tonight was we have guys who has the ability to win games from nowhere. Shahbaz is unbelievable. People think that he is a skinny guy and cannot hit the big shot but he hits it big. He is also a very handy left-arm spinner and will play a bit part. I think you have to. My mindset is I have to go to the most important positions, run fast. Its the same with DK. Virat is the quickest one just to please the fans (smiles).

Arya: It was a great start from Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat as they got their team off to a quick and steady start. Both played some delightful shots in the powerplay to get going and shared a partnership of 55 runs for the opening wicket. Faf was quite brilliant during his stay in the crease but it was former RCB player Yuzvendra Chahal who got his prized wicket in his very first over. He tightened the screws in the middle overs and turned the game on it’s head within a blink of an eye.

Anuj Rawat fell to Navdeep Saini as tried to play a cute shot but Sanju Samson held onto a good catch. Virat Kohli was unfortunately run-out courtesy of brilliant awareness shown by Sanju Samson and the final touch was given by Chahal as he whipped off the bails just in time to send his former RCB skipper back to the pavilion. He bamboozled David Willey the very next delivery as he breached his defence and struck timbers.

It was RR’s game from there to lose but the duo of Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik had other ideas. Dinesh Karthik in particular started the onslaught as he took the onus on hismelf to give a kickstart to the run-chase. He took some chances early and all of them paid off and he raced off to 28 in just 11 deliveries. Shahbaz also came into the party and took Trent Boult apart in the 18th over to get his side within touching distance of the target. Eventually it was Harshal Patel who finished off proceedings with a brilliant maximum.

Harshal Patel- Like I always say that winning the game for my side is the reason why I play cricket and this was one occasion I could do that. Yeah I had my plans when we came into the game. I wanted to bowl hard length, bot too many slower deliveries. The pitch turned out to be very different. At the top of the mark I am pretty sure what I want to bowl. Certain things are there what I can adapt to. Yeah there is certain things you can do and certain things you cannot, If I am setting up for a straight yorker, I can bowl a wide yorker so there are certain things I can and there certain things which I cannot.
Sanju Samson, RR Captain: "I cannot point out where we lost the game. A great effort to put that score on a slow pitch. Buttler and Hetmyer did a great job to get us to 170. But with dew around, we didn't have any choice and it made our job tougher. We still made it tough for them. We were banking on our bowling to do well, but we missed our areas today. Lots of positives today, Buttler scoring runs, and Chahal taking up wickets as well. Plus, Hetmyer is bowling well. So, lots of positives for us despite the loss. "

Arya: This is a superb win for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and a lot of credit should go to Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed who shared a brilliant partnership and were instrumental in seeing their side over the finishing line. It was always going to be a difficult ask for the RR bowlers to contain the RCB batters under dew but the RR bowlers did a commendable job till the time Shabaz and Karthik took the game away from them.

19.1 Y Jaiswal to H Patel
6 That will be enough to seal the deal for RCB and the ploy to go with Jaiswal with the last over hasn't worked. It was always going to be a huge ask with just three runs required. It was a dragged down from Yashasvi Jaiswal. Harshal Patel waits for it and deposits that well over the deep midwicket fence and finishes the match off in style.
Ayan: Dinesh Karthik, you beauty! In two games in a row, he has steered RCB to a win. Well, almost. 3 runs are needed off 6 balls. Right, Yashashvi Jaiswal is into the attack.
