It was a defendable and challenging score on that wicket, but our bowlers were outstanding, especially Nasum Ahmed who was exceptional. Liton was good with the bat and his innings were key. Nasum Ahmed | Player of the Match: "The plan was to bowl 2 overs and keep it to below 12 runs. Luckily I bowled 4 overs and conceded just 10 runs. It was the first time I had a target and I did manage to accomplish it. The plan was to keep it tight and make sure I don't give away too many runs."

Earlier in the day, the hosts Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first. They did not really get off to the best possible start. Fazelhaq Farooqi picked up the first wicket in the third over as he dismissed Mohammad Naim. In came Rashid Khan and he managed to send Munim Shahriar packing within the power play.
Soon Shakib Al Hasan was sent back to the pavilion by Qais Ahmed. Skipper, Mahmudullah was the next to depart. The hosts were reduced to 80/4 in 11 overs.
Afif Hossain and Das put up a 46 runs partnership and helped the team to 125 runs mark in the 17th over. Afghanistan bounced back with two consecutive wickets of both Hossain and Das to push the batting side to the backfoot. The tail-enders managed to put up a decent fight as the hosts managed to score 155 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
Nasum Ahmed went through the Afghanistan top order in a flash. They were four wickets down in no time and had hardly anything left to fight back with.
Najibullah Zadran and Mohammad Nabi put up a 37 run partnership for the 5th wicket to hold the innings for a while put up a Shakib picked up Nabi in the 11th over to push Afghanistan on the back foot. The team could not recover from the early setbacks as Shakib and Shoriful Islam picked up consecutive wickets in the middle overs to push the visitors down to their hind legs.
Bangladesh managed to dismiss Afghanistan for 94 in 17.4 overs to win this match by 61 runs to establish a unassailable lead of 1-0 in the two-match T20 series.
