NIKHIL: So, we are done here with Northern Superchargers winning the game by 6 wickets, as they chase down the target of 161 with 6 deliveries to spare.
Manchester Originals side started their innings in a watchful manner as they managed to score just 37 losing Salt in the first 25 deliveries.
Buttler and Madsen stabled the innings for Manchester as the pair added 84 runs together in 53 deliveries. Madsen got out to Willey on a score of 43 runs and was soon joined by Buttler who got out to Rashid just after scoring his half-century as he scored 59 runs. Russel and Walter played a good hand and added 44 runs in just 20 deliveries together as they got the score to 161 for the Originals.
For the Northern Superchargers team, Willey took a couple of wickets Starting with Salt and Madsen. Rashid and Bravo got rid of Walter and Buttler.
In reply to the target set by the Manchester Originals side, Northern Superchargers started in the best possible way as they scored 45 runs in the first 25 deliveries losing the wicket of Faf Du Plessis.
Lyth and Pepper started off in a thumping manner after the dismissal of Plessis scoring 35 in just 20 deliveries together. Pepper eventually perished as he tried to loft one on a score of 12. Brooks then walked in and he along with Lyth scored a total of 21 runs together. The wicket of Lyth came in at a crucial time and that broke the momentum for the Superchargers. The partnership between Willey and Brook was crucial for the Superchargers as it swung the game back in their favor and they managed to win this. Lyth was the top scorer for the Southern Brave as he scored 51 runs.
Klaassen took the wicket
of Faf early on in the powerplay as he fell on a score of 15. Turner got rid of
Pepper and Russell got the priced wicket of Adam Lyth. Parkinson took the
wicket of Willey in the later stages of the game as well.
David Wiese came in and scored 15 of just 6 deliveries to see the Northern Superchargers over the line.
