That's the end of our coverage. This is me, Akshay Bhide, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee and Ajay Ahire. Tata. Bye Bye. Good Night.
Darren Sammy (Winning Captain): "Another exciting game of cricket. Great game and we won so I am happy. To be honest, the guys are not under pressure. If we get to 220+ and the opposition chases it down, then it's no big deal as it's great viewership. We have had loads of pressure in our careers and this is to enjoy it. The guys have played well and we are happy to be in the final. It depends whether Jonty plays or not. The viewers will want to see him play again, so we will talk about it when we get to match day. Yes, we will rest play a bit of golf, and then be back to play the finals on Saturday night. Looking forward to it. "

Herschelle Gibbs | Player of the Match: "It took a bit of time for me to get going but nice to roll back the clock. Good to get some out of the middle of the bat and am happy with the innings. I have had really good games against India in the past and they bring the best out of me. KP was fantastic last night and luckily it was my turn tonight. Happy to get some runs under my belt."

Yusuf Pathan: "It's disappointed when all your batters and bowlers put their full efforts and you still fell short by a few runs. We played in the right mindset and manner. It's a learning for young aspiring kids how to fight till the end. Naman Ojha played really well he built a brilliant partnership throughout the match. It was a good cricketing wicket here at Muscat. It's one of the best wickets in the world. Thanks to all fans and ground staff. I hope we will do better next time."
Akshay: That’s the end of the game. End of a run-fest in Muscat as the India Maharajas fall short by five runs. A sensational last over from Brett Lee as he defends eight runs to help his side win the game in a nail-biting contest. With this, the Maharajas have been knocked out of the competition and the World Giants will face the Asia Lions in the final on January 29.

It was always going to be a daunting task for the India Maharajas to chase down 229. Wasim Jaffer departed in the second over and was soon followed by Badrinath as they lost two wickets in quick succession. Yusuf Pathan joined Naman Ojha and both started cutting loose as they hit some sensational strokes. The Giants struggled to keep a check on the scoring rate as the Maharajas were going at above 10 runs per over.

Yusuf was dismissed in the 13th over on 45 but Ojha kept going strong from one end. He was removed by Sidebottom at the end of 15 overs. Ojha missed out on a well-deserved century by five runs. Irfan Pathan arrived and started hitting the boundaries from the word go. He hit some lusty bowls in the end and scored a quickfire fifty but lost his wicket in the last over with eight needed to win. Brett Lee with his tons of experience bowled an exceptional last over to defend the total.

Earlier, the Giants were put into bat and in-form Kevin Pietersen was dismissed in the second over. Phil Mustard and Herschelle Gibbs put in a solid second-wicket stand as the India Maharajas’ bowlers were hit all around the park. Gibbs turned back the clock as he smashed seven fours and as many sixes as he scored 89 off just 46 balls. Cameos from Kevin O’Brien and Jonty Rhodes powered them to 228. It went down to the wire in the end but the Giants held their nerves, in the end, to win the game by five runs and knock out the India Maharajas.

19.6 B Lee to A Bhandari
0 Another brilliant ball. Full and straight from Lee, a wide yorker outside off, Bhandari cannot do anything about it. An incredible over from Brett Lee seals the deal for the World Giants as they clinch this by 5 runs. The India Maharajas are knocked out of the tournament. Asia Lions vs World Giants in the final on Saturday night.
19.5 B Lee to A Salvi
W That's a swing and a miss. Mustard hits the stumps as they try to steal a BYE. Rajat Bhatia is Run Out. Brilliant from Brett Lee. Full and straight wide yorker working for the Giants. 6 off 1 now. Giants should clinch it at the death.
Akshay: Sensational from Lee. Nails the wide yorker and it's come down to the last two balls. The India Maharajas require 6 from 2.
19.4 B Lee to A Salvi
0 That's an excellent yorker wide of off-stump, Another dot ball. This is a superb over from Brett Lee. 6 needed off 2 balls.
19.3 B Lee to A Salvi
0 Swing and a miss to Salvi. Pace on the ball, Lee bowls a good one. Now, Giants are the favorites now.
19.2 B Lee to R Bhatia
1 Short of a length here, Bhatia goes up and over covers and Morkel puts it down as another dropped chance. They get only a single though. 6 off 4 balls now.

19.1 B Lee to I Pathan
W That's in the air and this time it's taken by Morne Morkel. Brett Lee strikes in the final over. It was in the slot, but he mistimes it in the air and the catch is taken by Morne Morkel under extreme pressure. 6 down for 222. 7 needed off 5 balls now.
19.1 B Lee to I Pathan
WD Around the wicket goes Lee. Bowls it too wide of off-stump. Wide is signaled. 7 needed off 6 balls.
8 runs are needed now from the last over.
