Rahim, Khulna captain: In T20 format you will go through the patches where your planning and execution won't go right. How you come back is important. The wicket was pretty good. They got 180 which is par score. They also rested couple of big guns. The way Fletcher and Mahedi batted was brilliant to see. Need finetuning, especially with bowling in death overs. Also batting in the powerplay. Consistency has to be there.
Fletcher, POTM: When we were fielding, I was telling the guys we can chase 160-170. When they got 180 it was a bit iffy. I backed myself. Mahedi played well. Just want to continue to play to my strength. Didn't want to take unnecessary risks. Narine and the other left-arm spinner were their trump cards. Told Mahedi if we can get 6rpo from them, and target the other bowlers. Super happy. That means more to me than the hundred (taking team to playoffs). This is my second BPL hundred and I'm grateful for it. That was a great review. Honestly I thought I was plumb. He told me impact was outside off.
Faf, Comilla captain: 180 I think was a par score. You have to start well with the ball which we didn't. Have to give credit to them. Fletcher played an unbelievable innings. Sometimes happens in the evening games when the ball doesn't grip as much. Well done to them, crunch game and they fought through. We rested three big players today. They needed it. Was a time for them to get their legs fresh. We made a few errors in the field, so did they. In the end they were the team that chased the score down. When you don't get wickets in the first six overs, can be very difficult to stop.

That is it! What an emphatic victory for Khulna Tigers and what a way to make it to the play-offs!! A nine-wicket victory with eight balls to spare as Khulna push out Minister Group Dhaka from the Top 4 spots! Faf du Plessis' superb century drove Comilla Victorians to a pretty good total of 182-5.
However, it didn't seem to be enough right from the time Khulna''s batting inning started as the team promoted Mahedi Hasan up the order to exploit the powerplay! Andre Fletcher and Mahedi didn't spare any of the Comilla bowlers except Sunil Narine as they helped Khulna register 69 runs off the Powerplay. The intent and run-scoring didn't stop even after the field spread out.
Fletcher started to become audacious as he began to pummel several deliveries out of the park. The pair went onto better the record opening partnership of 173 runs which was put together by Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Shahzad earlier in the season. The Spiceman also brought up his century as Khulna neared the victory line. With just one run required for victory, Mahedi holed out to long-on off Moeen Ali's bowling but Soumya Sarkar finished the game off without any more hiccups

1 And it's all over! Soumya Sarkar takes the single which gets Khulna past the Victorians and through to the qualifiers! Moeen goes round the wicket and pitches this one fuller on the off stump drifting the ball in. Sarkar drives towards mid on, the fielder misfields and allows a single to be taken.
18.3 M Ali to M Hasan
W Oh no Mahedi! What have you done? Just one run required and goes for the glory stroke! Good length and on the off stump, gets stuck in the crease and goes for the pull stroke just like any tail ender batter. A glorious knock comes to an end. Moeen and Faf du Plessis are in splits. du Plessis is in the circle at mid on and runs a dozen yards towards his left to take the catch.

1 Fuller delivery on the off stump, worked away down the ground towards long on for a single, the scores are level.

0 Moeen Ali is back from over the wicket. Starts with a good length delivery which comes back sharply from the fourth stump line. Fletcher looks to cut on the backfoot but gets an inside edge on the pads.
Akshay: You can't have any more comprehensive victory than this one. This is what is called as complete domination folks.

17.6 Islam to A Fletcher
1b Slower delivery, back of a length and wide outside the off stump. Fletcher tries to reach but fails to get bat on ball. The ball bounces twice in front of the keeper as he fails to grab the ball cleanly as well, the batters steal a bye as Khulna need 2 more runs to win.
17.5 Islam to M Hasan
1 Flicked away but the deep fine leg fielder finds the ball! Just a single. Length delivery on middle and leg.
WHAT AN EFFORT FROM ANDRE FLETCHER. AMAZING HUNDRED! He is down on his knees here!
17.4 Islam to A Fletcher
1 And he gets to his hundred! Faf du Plessis in the first innings and Andre Fletcher in the second! The only difference is that the former did not get any support from the other end and the scoreline shows what Khulna has achieved so far! Back of a length delivery outside the off stump, the Spiceman shuffles across and tucks this away between long on and deep mid wicket to get the single.
