Saurashtra won the toss earlier today and opted to bowl. Their bowlers backed the decision of their captain by performing in the top level. It started with the dismissal of Atharwa Taide, who played across the line and edged one to the keeper. Unadkat and Sakariya where on top with their line, lengths and swung the ball. Their spells where backed up by Chirag Jani and Prerak Mankad who took wickets in the middle overs. Faiz Fazal stood at one end in the beginning but after playing 59 balls for his 23 runs he too lost his patience. Vidarbha were 86/8 at one stage and getting to 100 was seeming impossible at that point in time. But all thanks to Apoorv Wankhade who played a brilliant counter attacking innings amongst all these chaos. He put up a partnership of 64runs with Wakhare. Apoorv Wankhade got out after scoring 72 runs off 69 balls which consisted of 5 fours and 5 sixes. Then it just took two more balls for Saurashtra to wrap up Vidarbha's Innings for 150 in 40.3 overs. Unadkat, Jani, Jadeja and Chudasama took two wickets each while Sakariya and Mankad got a wicket each.

Chasing 151 was not that easy to begin with as they lost three wickets for just 35 runs. But then the unbeaten partnership of 116 runs between Prerak Mankad 77(72)* and Arpit Vasavada 41(66)* made sure that the Saurashtra are in the semi-final. They beat the Vidarbha team by 7 wickets with 121 balls to spare. But the positive sign for Vidarbha was the spell of Aditya Thakare which read 8-4-13-2. Since there was no much runs on the board their bowlers couldn't make much of impact other than this.

The Saurashtra now will face Tamil Nadu in the second semi-final on Friday.
