This is it from the 4th t20 between Bangladesh and New Zealand. Hope you've enjoyed the coverage. It's time to bid adieu to all of you. Signing off, Arijit Kundu, alongside my commentators, Singh and DG. See you soon in the CPL coverage which is minutes away from the start.
Mahmadullah Riyad(Winning captain): "The bowlers did a great job once again to keep New Zealand to a low total. All the bowlers, Nasum, Mahedi, Mustafizur, bowled well. The batters tried their best. We just needed a good partnership in the middle and Naim and I tried that. Naim batted well and then Afif was good. We tried to build partnerships and take the game deep. The credit for the series win goes to the team management and boys. There one more opportunity and hopefully, we will regroup together and try to win the game."
Nasum Ahmed(Man of the Match): " I am feeling really very happy tonight. There is no pressure from the captain. He just says me to bowl the way I bowl. And I try my best to hit the tight areas and give the minimum runs possible with the new ball in hand."
Tom Latham:  "We were probably a bit under-par. We were looking at around the 110 mark but ended up a bit light. Credit to how Bangladesh batted. We got early wickets but they had it under control. We spoke that if we bowled well, it could be a competitive score. They had a couple of partnerships and Mahmudullah finished it off for them. Getting it to the last over is a positive. Young played a good innings. He stuck out there and managed to get us to a competitive score but it wasn't quite enough. We are a young group, not a lot of international cricket experience and not a lot of us have been here before. Good to take the learnings forward."
Man of the match: Nasum Ahmed.
It was just a few weeks ago when Bangladesh had beaten Australia for the first time and now, Bangladesh has registered their maiden bilateral series win over New Zealand in the shortest format. One may argue that both the opposition had second-string teams but the home side did everything they had in their hands.
Coming for the chase, Bangladesh took a couple of early blows in the form of Liton Das, Shakib Al Hasan, and Mushfiqur Rahman. They were 32-3 at the end of the powerplay and Ajaz Patel and Cole McConchie came to the act. The bowlers were brilliant in maintaining the pressure but delayed getting a breakthrough for the 4th wicket partnership. Naim Sheikh and Skipper, Mahmadullah Riyad came to the rescue as the duo took the game deep and glued 35 runs together. Naim Sheikh got dismissed after he scampered for a second run and threw his wicket in the wrong time.

Despite the major wicket, the skipper, Mahmadullah Riyad made it sure that Bangladesh was nothing short of a victory tonight. They needed 11 runs from the last two overs and Mahmadullah tonged Blair Tickner for a six over his head. The game closed up in no time with a boundary from Mahmadullah in the first ball of the last over.
Winning the toss, New Zealand skipper, Tom Latham had opted to bat first. This was a similar track to that of the previous games and the result was nothing different. New Zealand lost their first wicket in the first over after young Rachin Ravindra top-edged a pitched-up delivery to fine leg inside the circle. They lost the other wicket in the form of Fin Allen who was looking good after hitting a good six of veteran Shakib Al Hasan.

Tom Latham and Will Young
were looking good and we're trying to steady the ship after an early collapse. Both the batters jolted a 35 runs partnership and then Tom Latham found himself getting stumped for 21. Once again Nasum Ahmed came in and rattled two wickets of Henry Nicholls and Colin De Grandhome in back-to-back deliveries. Will Young continued to battle the roughs in the surface with the tail and managed to put 93 runs on the board. Mustafizur Rahman helped  Bangladesh to clean the tail of the Kiwis after he bagged a four-fer alongside left-arm spinner, Nasum Ahmed.
Another day at the Shere Bangla Stadium and another low-scoring encounter between New Zealand and Bangladesh. From being 32-3 after 6 overs to winning the match with 5 balls in hand, it's been nothing short of a dramatic evening here. Mahmudullah Riyad, the skipper was the MVP with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 43 from 48 balls to see his team through a victory.

4 FOURR!!! That's it, Bangladesh creates history here, winning the series against the Blackcaps. Tossed up in the arc of Mahmudullah who sits on one knee and slogs it towards the vacant cow corner for a boundary.

18.6 B Tickner to M Riyad
1 Overpitched on off, Mahmudullah drills it down the ground and will keep the strike in the final over.
18.5 B Tickner to A Hossain
1 Back of a length following Afif as he steps down. He gets cramped up but fetches a single off his gloves.
That was BRUTE from Tickner! The ball struck Hossain on the helmet. The physio is out in the middle for a mandatory concussion check.
18.4 B Tickner to A Hossain
0 That has taken off!! Bangs in a short one onto Afif who gets on the front foot and has no time to switch his stance. In the end, he tries to get something on it but the ball zips past his glove, hitting him on the helmet.
18.3 B Tickner to M Riyad
1 Back of a length on off hurrying onto Mahmudullah who makes room to go over covers, gets a thick outside edge to third man for one.
18.2 B Tickner to M Riyad
0 Fires a slower length delivery outside off, Mahmudullah tries to reach onto it but makes no connection.
DG: And that should be it. Game looks done and dusted. Poor tactics here from Latham, should have given the over to McConchie.
18.1 B Tickner to M Riyad
6 SIXX!! Pressure released with this huge hit from the skipper. It's there in the slot of Mahmudullah and he gets under it to deposit it deep into the mid-wicket stands.
