Sourya: Here's a fact that will blow your mind. Kohli scored 33 off 29 against both MI and SRH with four boundaries. Talk about coincidence. Well his team won both and he will be a happy man tonight. That's it for tonight's coverage, I will see you soon. Signing off along with my fellow commentators Nikhil Kulkarni and Akshay Bhide. Goodnight.
Kohli:" Not as exhausted as I'm proud. It was a top game for us and probably it will get more and more tougher here. You saw it in KKR vs MI - you're never really out of the game. Those extra options made the impact performances in the middle overs. I told them if we've struggled to 149, it will be tougher for the opposition. I truly believed we could win with 150. The wicket was never a belter and tonight our execution under pressure was spot-on. The wicket kept getting tougher and tougher with the old ball. It's about getting momentum in the first six overs, but for us Maxi gave us that momentum and got us closer to 150. To be very honest, we're not over-excited with victories. We have a clear plan and backing our players. Got Harshal from Delhi for a role. It's a long tournament and you have to be professional with your job."
Sourya: So Glenn Maxwell is the deserving man of the match for some amazing fight and power hitting to take RCB to a challenging total in difficult circumstances.
Sourya: Kohli pulled out a rabbit out of the hat by getting Ahmed on at the right moment tonight.
David Warner: "A very big bitter pill to swallow. Obviously Maxi batted well, but our bowlers did well to restrict them. Look, it was just about building a partnership...and I was quite disappointed with how we went - cross-batted shots against left-arm orthodox. It just hurts. We have another three games here, the wickets are going to get better here. We need to try to take powerplay wickets and need to have one big partnership in the middle. The last four games here the team batting second should've won the game. Last night's game was an example and we played an identical game."
Sourya: SRH bowled well with Rashid Khan (2/18) and Holder (3/30), among others using the conditions well. But for the second night in a row, some shocking shots in the back-end of the second innings on a slowing pitch led to the chasing team unravelling.
Sourya: Earlier, put into bat first, RCB did not really get going with Kohli hitting a slow 33 at the top and Paddikal and Shahbaz getting starts but departing. They had to rely on a punchy knock from Glenn Maxwell (59 off 41), which was gold dust in the circumstances, and reach a competitive 149/8.

Sourya: The slowness of the pitch was a factor from the start and I expressed my reservations about Warner choosing to field first and almost to script, SRH let go of a sure-shot position at 96/1 to lose wicket after wicket to fall short by 6 runs of RCB's 149/8. A great partnership between Manish Pandey and Warner had resurrected the chase after Wriddhiman Saha departed early. But this Chennai pitch had spin and bounce and slowness and Shahbaz Ahmed, the Bengal all rounder bowled a sensational over of spin to get Warner for 54 and Pandey off the next ball and also bagged the icing on the cake by getting Samad in the end. The batting was poor, all three played mistimed cross-batted slogs and Hyderabad lost all their confidence post that. Wickets kept tumbling but the team still got close. But new Purple Cap holder Harshal Patel bowled a good last over to again strike and get his team over the line. The variations were perfect, the line and length canny with Patel getting 2/25, Siraj identical figures and Shahbaz getting eye-watering figures of 3/7 from 2.
Sourya: So a characteristically enthralling IPL game comes to an end with RCB picking up their second win on the trot to go top of the nascent IPL table. On the other hand, SRH have dropped their second in as many to furrow the brow of captain Warner.
19.6 Harshal Patel to Bhuvneshwar Kumar
1 RCB move to the top of the table with this win! Short ball again and Bhuvaneshwar pulls this one to the on side but will get only one run and that would seal the game for RCB. What a win for RCB under pressure!
19.5 Harshal Patel to Shahbaz Nadeem
W OUT!!! Shahbaz takes the catch of Shahbaz and that should be the game for RCB. Back of a length ball outside off, takes the pace off the ball. Nadeem plays this one in the air over the backward point fielder. Shahbaz runs back and holds onto the catch

19.4 Harshal Patel to Rashid Khan
W OUT!! Rashid wanted second run and he is run-out. Another slower short ball and Rashid pulls this one to deep square leg and calls for a suicidal second run. The fielder does well to intercept that one and fire a throw to ABD who clips off the bails. RCB get all important wicket of Rashid!
19.4 Harshal Patel to Rashid Khan
0 A gutsy short ball and takes the pace off the ball just over the off stump and Rashid couldn't manage to hit that one
