Milestone
That's it from all of us for this game. Do join us for the last game of the series on April 1st. This is Nikhil Kulkarni, along with Akshay Bhide and Vikhyat signing off.
Tim Southee | New Zealand captain: "Unusual game with the rain and Duckworth-Lewis always makes it interesting. We were privileged to have teams come here. They did put us under pressure. Glenn did a great job and it was all about gut feeling on the bowling changes. Another opportunity to for the boys to represent their country and finish a great summer on a high"
Mahmudullah | Bangladesh Captain: "I think there was a bit of confusion on the target. I think the first 10 overs we were on the target but the last 5 to 6 overs we fell apart. Naim and Soumya batted well to give us the momentum but Phillips and Sodhi were extremely good and we failed to capitalize on their overs, and if we capitalize on those chances, we can go on to win. Our top order has not been batting well, we can take positives from this game and come back well in the next game."
Glen Phillips is the player of the match: "For us, it was trying to hit the ball down the ground as hard as possible. It is tossing up between whether to go for big shots or not when the rain is around. There were few nerves before bowling, i have been preparing well. Getting the 1st wicket in international cricket is always amazing and getting a wicket for someone like me, it's the best feeling in the world"
Nikhil: Once Soumya Sarkar got out, the Bangladesh batsmen struggled to score. Mohammad Naim who had opened the batting couldn't score quickly as he got out to 38 runs off 34 balls. The other batsmen couldn't get going as they got out trying to score some quick runs. New Zealand seal the series with this win and there is one more game left in the series. Stay tuned for the presentation!!!
Nikhil: Liton Das was dismissed in the first over as he tried to pull one to deep square leg but Phillips took an excellent catch to send him back. Soumya Sarkar came into bat at No 3 and dominated the bowling attack of New Zealand. He played some exquisite shots and got out at a crucial time when Bangladesh needed 76 off 35 balls. Soumya Sarkar scored 51 off 27 balls.
Nikhil: New Zealand win by 28 runs. The Bangladesh innings started with they not knowing the target. After the rain interruption, the game was reduced to 16 overs and Bangladesh came into bat. After 9 balls in the game, the umpires asked to stop the game for a while as the calculations of the target was still on, and finally, Bangladesh got the target of 170 in 16 overs.

15.6 Hamish Bennett to Mahedi Hasan
1 Nails the yorker to seal the deal for Kiwis, single to long-on and New Zealand wins the match as well the series.
15.5 Hamish Bennett to Mahedi Hasan
2 Full on the pads, flicked away in the sky to the deep square leg fielder, but didn't reach the boundary, only a couple in the end
15.5 Hamish Bennett to Mahedi Hasan
WD One more wide from Bennett, again drifting down the leg
15.5 Hamish Bennett to Mahedi Hasan
WD Too wide down leg, will have to run in once again
15.4 Hamish Bennett to Mohammad Saifuddin
W This time Southee takes it. Bennett darts in a good length delivery, Saif looking to heave it on the on-side gets a leading edge only sky-high to the covers and Southee completes the catch
15.3 Hamish Bennett to Mahedi Hasan
1 Slower ball from Bennett, Hasan makes some room and lofts it to the long-off region but a bit confusion between the covers fielder and running long-off fielder, eventually balls lands safely, single taken
15.2 Hamish Bennett to Mahedi Hasan
6 SIXX!! But quite late I reckon, short ball and Hasan pulls it away over the deep square leg boundary with one hand
15.1 Hamish Bennett to Mohammad Saifuddin
1 Full outside-off, Saif drags it to the long-on for a single

14.6 Tim Southee to Mohammad Saifuddin
1 Slower one to finish the over and in the block hole, not much could have been done to that, only a single to the covers as the batsman cautiously taps it to the off-side
