So thats all from the commentary box today. This is Arya Sekhar Chakraborty signing off on the behalf of my co-commentators Kingshuk Kusari and Nikhil Kulkarni
Arya: Chasing the target, the Brisbane Heat lost early wickets but was well in control of the game due to their run rate. Chris Lynn and Joe Denly looked in good touch but couldn't quite convert their starts into a big one. While Lynn was deceived by a good delivery from Fawad Ahmed, it was Beherendorff and Jhye Richardson who bagged a couple of crucial wickets to peg the Heat back. They lost their last 7 wickets for just 19 runs and were eventually skittled out for just 115 runs, thus handing a win to Scorchers by 59 runs.
Arya: It was not one of those ideal starts for Perth Scorchers as they lost Jason Roy very early. Liam Livingstone after smashing a few exquisite shots was dismissed with the score reading 37. It was a sensational fightback for the Scorchers riding on a brilliant performance from Colin Munro who smashed the Brisbane Heat bowlers all around the park during his knock of 82. Ashton Turner provided a much needed late impetus which propelled them to a score of 174 in their allotted 20 overs. Jack Wildermuth and Morne Morkel bagged two wickets each for the Brisbane Heat but the target of 175 wasn't going to be an easy one for the Heat who has relied on their skipper Chris Lynn to bail them out of trouble but it didn't work out today.
Arya: So thats a comprehensive victory for the Perth Scorchers as they storm past the Brisbane Heat by 59 runs to win their 6th game of the tournament in their 11th outing. Riding on the back of a brilliant batting performance by Colin Munro, the Perth Scorchers reached a more than competitive score of 174. With the ball in hand, it was a combined effort from all their bowlers as the Brisbane Heat was bowled out for just 115 runs. While Perth Scorchers occupies the 2nd position with 23 points, the Brisbane Heat remains at the 6th position
W WICKET!!! slower full delivery on the leg stump, Bazley tries to lift this over the mid-off fielder but finds the fielder perfectly, just one more wicket left for the Scorchers to register a comprehensive win
