Arya: So that was another fascinating contest we witnessed. Like always it was a pleasure covering the match and bringing all the live updates for you. Till the next time, me, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty signing off on the behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Akshay Saraswat.
Arya: The Stars needed to get off to a brisk start and that was provided by the opening duo of Stoinis and Andre Fletcher. They scored 15 in the first over but it was Jack Wildermuth who pushed them on the backfoot with some good aggressive bowling. Eventually, Stoinis scored 34 of 20 deliveries and Pooran provided the momentum with a 5 balls 16. Towards the back end it was Nick Larkin who smashed a breezy knock of 34 in quick time which kept the hopes of Stars alive. In the end the target proved to be way too much as they fell short by 18 runs./
Arya: Earlier in the day it was Glenn Maxwell who won the toss and opted to bowl. Rain played spoilsport from the very beginning and in the end, the match was reduced to a 17 overs aside. Chris Lynn made a mockery of the Stars' attack as he smashed 23 balls 48 before being castled by Glenn Maxwell. There were several rain interventions and eventually, the match was curtailed to a 10 overs affair. Eventually the Brisbane Heat made 115 in 10 overs, setting the Stars a target of 129 as per DLS method
Arya: So thats the end of the game folks. A very good performance from the Brisbane Heat, they batted and bowled quite brilliantly and at the end of the day they ended up winning the match by 18 runs. There was a bit of drama in the final few overs and in the end it was a target way too steep for the Melbourne Stars.
Akshay B: The Heat held their nerves in the end and the fielding proved to be the difference between the two sides.

The third umpire is checking for a clean catch. Think that the fingers are underneath the ball but the ball might be just touching the grass. So NOT OUT it is
9.6 Xavier Bartlett to Seb Gotch
0 A wicket to end the proceedings. In the slot on the stumps, Gotch muscles this straight to Wildermuth at mid off who takes a good low catch. Wait on, the third umpire is checking the catch and it is ruled not out. With this Heat beat Stars by 18 runs
9.5 Xavier Bartlett to Nick Larkin
1 In the slot on middle, Larkin heaves this into the leg side to deep mid wicket for a run
9.4 Xavier Bartlett to Seb Gotch
1 A high full toss on the stumps, Gotch slogs it to long on for a single. That should be the game I think
9.3 Xavier Bartlett to Nick Larkin
1 An off-cutter on the stumps, Larkin slogs it to deep mid wicket for a single
Arya: Executes the yorker to perfection, you cant get under it
9.2 Xavier Bartlett to Nick Larkin
0 Bowls a perfect wide yorker and Larkin fails to get any bat to it. A precious dot ball
9.1 Xavier Bartlett to Seb Gotch
1lb A slower ball on the body, Gotch goes for the pull and gets hit on the body. Larkin scampers for a quick run
Arya: That is Game on folks, dont go anywhere, a big final over on our hands, Xavier Bartlett to bowl the final over

4 FOUR!!! Poor bowling from Gregory and clever batting from Larkin. Bowls it short outside off with point up, Larkin makes room and cuts it over point for a boundary
