Player Bio

One of the country’s most accomplished batsmen, Gyanendra Malla is a professional Nepalese cricketer and the current skipper of the South Asian country. A well-composed top-order batsman, Malla featured in every age-group cricket for Nepal before making his international debut in 2014.

Malla first arrived in Nepal’s domestic circuit in 2012 playing for the Yangal Cricket Club. The Nepalese skipper made his international debut against Hong Kong in a T20 fixture on March 16th, 2014 and finished the game as the top-scorer with 48 runs to his name.

Part of the U-19 World Cup setup, Malla had a decent time in the 2006 World Cup scoring 145 runs in 6 innings and gradually progressed to become one of the most prolific cricketers to ever play for Nepal. At the age of 31, he is an inspiration for the younger generation of Nepalese cricketers in the national side.
