Player Bio

An aggressive right-handed batter who occasionally bowls leg-spin, Harleen plays for Himachal Pradesh in domestic competitions.

After Sushma Verma, Harleen is the second female player to come from Himachal Pradesh and represent the country.

Harleen was drafted in India A squad to face England A, and made it into the Indian squad on the back of a stellar performance against a strong England side.

The attacking player was in the Trailblazers squad for the inaugural Womenโ€™s T20 Challenge, and Harleenโ€™s back-to-back 30 plus scores under pressure situations are a testament to her cricketing abilities.

The Chandigarh-born was finally drafted into the Indian squad ahead of the ODI series against England in 2019. In her only ODI match to date, Harleen struggled against the quality pace attack of England and was dismissed after making just 2 runs on the board.

In the T20I leg against England, she made her debut, and similar to the ODI debut struggled to time the ball properly.

Despite initial struggles, the Himachal cricketer was included in the squad for the 2020 Womenโ€™s T20 World Cup, but eventually lost the tournament final against a star-studded Australian team.

Deol is an aggressive batter who is particularly strong against spin bowling due to her minimal footwork. She is still raw at the moment, but it is up to the team management to develop her and improve her skills, especially against the pace bowlers.
