Player Bio

A canny left-arm medium-pace bowler, Lauren Cheatle is an Australian cricketer who has made quite a name for herself in the domestic circuit.

Cheatle’s talent was recognised from a very young age and she got a chance to represent the New South Wales Breakers in the 2015 Women’s National Cricket League. Cheatle was roped in by the Sydney Thunder ahead of the 2015 WBBL season and she finished as the fourth-highest wicket-taker, with 18 wickets under her kitty.

2016 was a special year for Cheatle. She got a chance to make her national debut against India Women in a T20I game.

A year later, she earned her opportunity for an ODI debut against New Zealand.

In 2019, Cheatle was rewarded with a contract with the National Performance Squad ahead of the 2019 season.

Currently, Cheatle plays for the Sydney Sixers in the WBBL and has registered staggering numbers for them. Still relatively raw at the international level, Cheatle has a long way to go before she cements her place in the national side.
