Player Bio

A valuable top-order batter, Sharne Mayers is a professional women’s cricketer for the Zimbabwe national team who captained the associate nation in the 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in February 2017.

One of the most experienced members in the current Zimbabwe squad, Mayers made her T20I debut against Namibia women on January 5th, 2019 but had a debut to forget as she was dismissed on just 2 runs. The 29-year old batter has not played for Zimbabwe since the 2019 ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers in Harare and was on the verge of playing for the Imperial Lions in South Africa.

Having been named for the first time in Zimbabwe’s ODI squad, Mayers would be hoping to make an impact with her elegant batting skills to cement her spot in the white-ball squad of Zimbabwe.
