Player Bio

In a squad full of all-rounders, Chenille Henry is the most promising cricketer for the West Indies Women’s team. Hailing from Jamaica, she started her cricketing career at a very young age.

The Jamaican made her international debut at 18 years of age in a T20I against the White Ferns on October 24th, 2013. A few months later she made her ODI debut on February 24th, 2014 against the England Women team where she got run out on just 10 runs. The Kingston-based cricketer fell out of favour after one year on the ODI team, resulting in a 5-year absence. Having been recalled to the West Indies Women’s training camp in 2018, Chinelle seized the second chance with both hands and has been now categorized as a pinch-hitter for the West Indies Women.

The Jamaican-born all-rounder featured in the winning squad of the 2016 ICC T20 Women’s World Cup, chipping in with the bat consistently down the order leading the Women in Maroon to their Maiden title.

Now considered as one of the best death batswomen in the shortest format, Chinelle has now featured in every ICC tournament since 2016. She continues to impress the cricketing world with her all-round skills.
