Player Bio

Born in Johannesburg, Goodall is a right-handed middle-order batswoman who plays for the South Africa women’s team.

Goodall represents Western Province in the South African domestic competitions, and after having an impressive initial few seasons, Goodall received her maiden international call-up for the T20I series against West Indies in 2016.

In the same year, she made her ODI debut against Ireland and did not have to do too much as South Africa won the match with ease.

In 2019, Cricket South Africa named her as one of the players in the Powerade Women’s National Academy Intake for 2019.

Goodall was included in the Proteas ODI squad to face India in 2021. In the fourth match of the series, Goodall slammed her career-best 59* to steer her side past the victory line. Chasing 267 on a tricky wicket at Lucknow, Goodall shared a 103 run partnership for the third-wicket with Mignon du Preez and helped South Africa to win the series with one game to spare.

After her impressive display against India, Cricket South Africa awarded her with a national contract for the 2021/22 season.

A talented middle-order batter, Goodall has not justified her talent on the big stage as of yet. She looked good in the ODI series against India and it is the responsibility of the team management to give her a long run especially in the ODI format.
