Player Bio

A crafty leg spinner and a fine fielder, Radha Yadav is one of the youngest members of India’s Women squad.

A Mumbaikar who started playing cricket at the age of 12,  became the first player from Gujarat's domestic side to be picked in the Indian women's cricket team when she got selected for the tour of South Africa in 2018.

Radha had a tremendous U-19 tournament where she scored 138 runs and took 35 wickets from just eight matches. This consistency gave her a permanent spot in the India A team.

She made her international debut at the age of 18 against South Africa on February 13, 2018.

After a string of impressive performances, she was named in the India Women’s squad for the 2018 ICC Women’s T20 World cup. She was the joint-leading wicket-taker for India in the tournament, with eight dismissals in five matches. Two years down the lane, she became the first bowler to take a five-wicket haul in the Women’s T20 Challenge.

In the recently concluded limited-overs series against South Africa Women, she made her WODI debut for Indian on March 14, 2021. Radha was the most expensive bowler as she was picked apart by the Proteas top-order in a lost cause.

At the tender age of 20, she has a boatload of experience in both domestic and international cricket which makes her an indispensable part of the team.
