Player Bio

Rachel Delaney is a professional cricket player for Ireland national team. She is an off-break bowler who can also be a handy batter down the order. She is still at the international level but her crafty spin-bowling tells that Delaney has a bright cricketing career ahead of her.

The spinning all-rounder made a quick mark in the United Kingdom when she toured abroad with Ireland 'A' team. In 2017, Delaney earned her maiden national call-up during the South Africa Quadrangular Series. She made her ODI debut against India, however, her best performance came against the hosts when Delaney took three wickets, including of Mignon du Preez. The following year, she made her T20I against New Zealand.

Despite her crafty off-breaks, Delaney wasn’t part of Ireland’s squad during the 2018 World T20, nor the World T20 Qualifiers of 2018 and 2019. However, the all-rounder’s skillsets speak volumes about her talent, if given the opportunity.
