Player Bio

Khaka is one of the most prolific wicket-takers for the South African team in the ODI format. The right-arm medium pace bowler has been a vital cog in the Proteas pace attack ever since her debut in 2012.

The seamer made her ODI debut against Bangladesh in 2012 and went wicket-less in her maiden international game. In the T20I leg of that series, Khaka was given another chance to make a name for herself, but the pacer went for 11 runs in her first over and was not required to bowl again as the Proteas clinched the victory.

Over the years she became a better ODI bowler and in 2018, she took her 50th ODI wicket in the series against Bangladesh.

She continued to perform well and broke into the top 10 of the ICC bowlers ranking for the first time in 2018, claiming the 8th spot in the charts after an impressive ODI series against Bangladesh.

The South African cricketer's ability to keep the run-rate down and take wickets at regular intervals earned her a national contract by Cricket South Africa for the 2018-19 season.

Khaka was added to the limited-overs squad for their away series against India in 2021. She played four of the five ODI matches in the series and took just a solitary wicket in the series as the Proteas won the series 4-1.

An ever reliant pace bowler for her team, Khaka has been consistent with her bowling for the past 9 years now. She doesn’t have the express pace, but it’s her accurate line and length that does all the talking on the pitch.
