Player Bio

Sandhu is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler who plays for Pakistan women’s cricket team. She made her international debut in 2017 and ever since that has been a regular feature for her side.

Born in Lahore, Sandhu was included in the Pakistan squad for the 2017 World Cup qualifiers. She was included in the playing XI against South Africa in February 2017. Sandhu was at her menacing best with her variations, picking up 3 wickets and giving away just 51 runs.

The Lahore-born's stock rose in a 2017 World Cup game against arch-rivals India. Sandhu registered figures of 4 for 26 in 10 overs and bamboozled the Indian top order with her accurate line and length.

In an ODI match against West Indies in 2019, Sandhu grabbed 3 top-order wickets and the opposition had no answer to her variations.

The Pakistan team has produced top-quality spinners over the last few years, and Sandhu is right on top of that list. Relatively raw at the moment, Sandhu has to be nurtured by the team management so that she is at her best for the future series.
