A high-class all-rounder, Anna Peterson is a mysterious off-break bowler and more than a handy lower-order batswoman who plays professional cricketer for New Zealand women’s team.
Peterson started playing cricket at just 5 years of age appearing for Takapuna Red Stars and went on to make her ODI debut against England Women on March 1st, 2012, and three years later played her maiden T20I match against the same opponents.
The White Fern made the headlines when she forged a name for herself as a woman with nerves of steel after some gutsy performances where she managed to concede less than three runs off a final over to claim a win over the West Indies in a T20 in 2018.
Anna became an overnight sensation after picking a hat-trick in the series decider against their arch-rivals in February 2017 and has gone onto play 3 T20 World Cups and a 50-over World Cup for the White Ferns. Having cemented her spot in the New Zealand women’s team, she will be hoping to lead the White Ferns to World Cup glory in the upcoming years.
