Player Bio

A tall medium-pacer who likes to hit the deck a lot, Holly Huddleston was already 26 when she announced her arrival at the international stages and wasted no time in securing a spot in the White Ferns squad.

Having played a lot of domestic cricket, Holly is considered a late bloomer for her country. Her international debut came in February 2014 in the limited-overs series against West Indies and in a short span, she became a lethal bowler striking the most number of five-wicket hauls in international cricket.

With the ability to bat in the middle-order, she is well-capable of smoking the ball out of the park. Holly’s debut in the World Cup made headlines worldwide as she went on to take a fifer against a dominant Sri Lankan batting lineup. Her domestic career includes stints with the Auckland Hearts and Northern Districts, with her impressive performance winning her the Phly Blackler Cup at the New Zealand Cricket Awards in 2018.

In her short career, she has featured in over 50 matches for the White Ferns and has struck 59 wickets in her six-year career. Known for opening the bowling with the new ball alongside Lea Tahuhu, she has the ability to pick up wickets at crucial stages in the match.
