Player Bio

Born in Auckland, Madeline Lee-Green is a tall, fiery bowling all-rounder who plays professional cricket for the New Zealand women’s team.

Green made her debut nine years ago in a T20I match against the Aussies on February 1st, 2012. On her debut, she played a watchful inning of 14 runs in a victorious chase. She first caught eyeballs during her whirlwind 62-ball century in New Zealand's record total of 490 for 4 against Ireland in 2018. In the ODI, she went on to smash 121 off 77 balls in a record 346-run win.

A powerful hitter of the white ball, she is also a handy off-break bowler who likes to get an extra bounce off the pitch, she is the captain of Auckland hearts. Showcasing her maturity and leadership skills, Green led Auckland to Hallyburton Johnstone Shield in 2017-18.

However, Green hasn’t been able to replicate her domestic performances on to the international stages. With the current White Ferns squad filled with all-rounders, it has been challenging for Green to break into the playing XI. Having represented New Zealand in two T20 World Cups, she has featured in over 90 matches for the White Ferns and was signed by the Brisbane Heats ahead of the 2019 Women’s Big Bash League.
