Player Bio

Kycia Knight is a prolific opener and one-half of a twin who also plays for the West Indies national team. She is also reliable donning the big gloves and has been a permanent feature for the Women in Maroon since her debut in 2011.

Kycia started her cricketing journey playing in age-group cricket for Barbados in the domestic stages and made her debut for West Indies as a teenager. On her ODI debut, she was not needed in the batting department as the Windies thrashed Pakistan by 8 wickets.

The Barbadian has represented West Indies in over 120 matches in all formats and has played numerous World Cups. However, she was awarded the central contract for the first time in  July 2019. A supportive batter,  Kycia has two modes, she either comes out attacking or she takes a slow, crafting an approach to the innings.  Kycia will easily say that batting with her twin, Kyshona is one of the easiest and best feelings in the world as they share a very close relationship both on and off the field.
