An elegant middle-order batswoman, Katie Perkins made her domestic debut in the 2011-12 National One day competitions and went on to win her maiden title in her debut season.
An impressive domestic season was followed up by a successful title-winning season in the 2013-14 domestic Twenty20 competition. Katie received her national call-up in early 2012 in the limited-overs series against Australia. She showcased her class in her T20 debut scoring 31 runs and grabbed headlines in the victory. A successful debut against the arch-rivals meant that she had cemented her spot in the White Ferns squad.
Making her debut in 2012, she has featured in 4 T20 World Cups and has been one of the most successful batswomen and a pivotal member of the New Zealand women’s team. Signed by the Sydney Thunders ahead of the 2020 Women’s Big Bash League(WBBL) she has appeared in just one match for the WBBL giants.
