Player Bio

The pillar of Pakistan Women’s cricket for a long time, Javeria Khan is a blazing all-rounder and the skipper of the Pakistan Women’s team. Her passion for cricket led to her selection in the domestic Karachi Women’s team in 2006 when she was just 17.

After several crucial knocks like the one in the final of the PCB Twenty20 Women’s Quadrangular Tournament in 2008, the Karachi-born all-rounder scored an impressive 41-ball 43 in the final against the PCB Challengers led to her inclusion in the Pakistan national team. She appeared in her first ODI on May 6th, 2008 against Sri Lanka Women’s team where she failed with both bat and bowl in that match. In her second ODI match against India, she made a useful 20 runs with the bat but went wicketless.

The current skipper was part of the Pakistan team that won the Gold Medal at the 2010 Asian Games held in China. Javeria scored her maiden ODI hundred against Sri Lanka after seven years of making her debut. A stunning knock of 133 not out claimed the victory for her team and also fetched her the Player of the Match award.

In November 2019, Javeria became the third Pakistani cricketer to cross the 100 ODI mark in a match against Bangladesh.

Having skippered the Women in Green in two T20 World Cups and the Asia Cup, Javeria is the most experienced campaigner in the current Pakistan squad. After donning the Green shirt at the tender age of 19, she has proved to be a pillar of the batting unit.
