Player Bio

A highly accomplished all-rounder, Nicole Bolton is a professional Australian cricketer who announced herself on the international stages in the summer of 2013-14 and scored a remarkable century against England on her ODI debut at the MCG.

A watchful top-order batter, Bolton likes to bat for longer periods of time and provides the perfect setup for others to play aggressively. In 2012, she became the first Western Australian woman to score a Women's National Cricket League century, striking 121 against Tasmania in Perth. The 32-year old was crucial at the top of the order to lead Australia to the fourth T20 World title in 2018.

An established Australian cricketer, Bolton shocked many when she announced that she is leaving the Women’s Big Bash League midway through the 2018-19 season to focus on her mental health. In October 2021, the 32-year old announced retirement from State cricket ending her 15-year domestic career. Now plying her trade in Franchise cricket for the Sydney Sixers, Bolton is one of the most experienced cricketers and would be looking to guide the youngsters in the Stars squad.
