Player Bio

Anamul Haque, a wicketkeeper-batter from Bangladesh, comes across as one of the pivotal figures in the Tigers' outfit. His professional career dates back to 2008 when he made his First-Class debut for Dhaka Division in the National Cricket League.

Hailing from Kushtia, Anamaul enjoyed early success in his cricketing career. Captaining Bangladesh in the 2012 U-19 World Cup, the gloveman emerged as the top-scorer in the tournament with 365 runs in six matches.

He made the cut to the international side in 2012 and hit a ton in only his second appearance in the five-match ODI series versus West Indies. The 29-year-old added two more hundreds to his overall tally that came against Pakistan and West Indies.

Although suffering from a few setbacks, Anamul was burgeoning until 2015; the same year that saw him rule out of the ODI World Cup midway through the tournament.

While Anamul went in and out of the squad in several periods, his dominating run with the bat that has seen him score over 1100 runs in the Dhaka Premier League 2022 again put him in the selectors' radar.

Back within the Bangladeshi set-up, Anamul is in the midst of a comeback journey. He is also a part of the 2022 Asia Cup squad for Bangladesh and will be looking to contribute in maximum ways.
