Player Bio

A stylish top-order Nizakat Khan has been a reliable run-scorer for Hong Kong in the recent years.

Nizakat rose to prominence by hitting 173 runs in six games in the 2010 edition of the U-19 World Cup. The next year witnessed him scoring 165 runs in six innings to help the team get promoted to the World Cricket League Division Two.

The skilful batter made his T20I debut against Nepal in the 2014 edition of T20 World Cup. A couple of months later, he made his ODI debut against Afghanistan in the Asian Cricket Council Premier League.

Unfortunately, Nizakat was banned from bowling due to illegal action during the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier.

Afterwards, the right-handed batter slammed 105 runs in two appearances of the 2018 edition of the Asia Cup. Later in the same year, he wreaked havoc by scoring 184 runs in five innings of the Hong Kong T20 Blitz.

The top-order batter played for Toronto Nationals and Montreal Tigers in the Global T20 Canada tournament.

In May 2022, Nizakat was chosen as captain to lead Hong Kong in the World Cup Challenge League B.

Soon, he led the team to qualify for the Asia Cup 2022 by scoring 89 runs in three innings.
