Bio
A classy southpaw who likes to bat at the top of the order, Chandrapaul Hemraj is a professional cricketer for Guyana and was also part of the West Indies u-19 setup for the 2012 U-19 World Cup.
Hemraj made his first-class debut for Guyana against Trinidad and Tobago on March 16th, 2012 and announced his arrival with a gritty 29. It took 6 years for Hemraj to make his List A debut in the Regional Super50 competition in 2017-18 against Kent. After throwing his wicket on a duck, the selectors decided to give him another go in the limited-overs to be a part of the India tour in 2018. He eventually made his ODI debut against India on October 21st, 2018. The selectors decided to drop him after his poor outing in Indian managing just 82 runs in 6 innings
After playing 2 seasons for St. Lucia Stars in the Caribbean Premier League(CPL), he was signed by his homeland franchise, Guyana Amazon Warriors prior to the start of the 2020 CPL season. After almost spending 9 years in the West Indies domestic circuit, he has failed to cement his spot across any format. At the age of 27, Hemraj would be hoping to work on his consistency to make a bigger impact at the international level.
