A hit-the-deck kind of a pacer, Peter Chase broke into the cricketing scene in 2014 and since then he has been a consistent performer in both domestic and international stages.

Chase made his first-class debut playing for Durham in 2014 and made instant headlines picking a fifer on his debut against Nottinghamshire and 11 wickets in his debut season in the championship.

An impressive debut season rang the doorbells of the national selectors and in January 2015, Chase earned his maiden call-up into the Irish squad for the ODI series against Scotland but unfortunately, the match got abandoned without a single delivery bowled. Included in the 2015 World Cup squad, he failed to make a mark in the prestigious tournament which saw the youngster sidelined from the senior team. A career full of ups and downs, it took three years for Chase to make his T20I debut in 2018.

Yet to appear in an international fixture since February 2018, the Dublin-born seamer has been facing tough competition from the likes of Mark Adair and Gary Wilson for a spot in the playing XI.

Still young, Chase has an impressive domestic T20 record and is known to be a white ball specialist in the domestic structure. With several Irish bowlers on the verge of hanging their boots, he would be hoping to maintain his consistency on the international stages and secure a spot in the Irish playing XI.
