Player Bio
New Zealand's Scott Styris is an efficient bowler and a handy batsman. A late bloomer, he earned his Test cap after playing domestic cricket for over a decade. Having started off as a seamer, he began focussing on his batting after a knee injury threatened to end his career. From being a bowler who could bat a bit he turned into a batsman who could bowl. The 36-year-old is a busy cricketer who is always on the lookout for runs. He is also capable of turning on the heat when required especially in Twenty20 cricket. This Brisbane-born player was signed by the Chennai Super Kings at the IPL Player Auction 2011 and will turn out for them in IPL 2012 as well.
