Sanskriti Gupta

Sanskriti Gupta is a right-arm off-break bowler, who represents Madhya Pradesh in the domestic league and the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Women's Premier League. She was born in Madhya Pradesh on December 2, 2004. Sanskriti is only 20 years old, but her cricketing journey already demonstrates commitment, tenacity, and love for the game.

Gupta developed a strong interest in cricket as a child, gaining early experience and innate skills. She began her career by honing her talents while playing with the local boys. She began her professional career with the Madhya Pradesh women's squad.  

The tweaker played for her home side in a variety of age groups and formats, accumulating experience and expanding her possibilities in the process. Her outstanding domestic cricket performance was too great for the selectors to overlook. She was part of one of the most formidable teams, the Mumbai Indians, in the most recent WPL auction, which took place in December 2024. Since she now plays in one of the most prestigious leagues and shares the dressing room with luminaries like Harmanpreet Kaur, this change was a huge turning point in her career.

Her WPL debut was against Delhi Capitals Women (DC) on February 15. However, she couldn’t have a dream debut, but the team management and the skipper kept on believing in her as she got a persistent run in the WPL 2025. 

As a left-handed batter, Sanskriti offers a distinct advantage to the batting lineup that frequently unsettles bowlers used to right-handed hitters. As an off-break bowler, she also gives choices to the bowling attacks with variations, enabling her to contribute to a variety of game aspects. 

Sanskriti Gupta’s career is at an early stage, and she has the potential to become a significant contributor to her teams in domestic circuits and, potentially, on the international stage.
