Player Bio
Vansh Bedi blazed his way into the limelight with a breakthrough Delhi Premier League season of 2024. At the age of 21, the blistering right-hander finished the competition with 221 runs from eight innings at an average of 44.50.

During the latter half of the tournament, Bedi muscled 96 runs from just 41 deliveries for Purani Delhi-6 in their chase of 242 against the East Delhi Riders. Smearing four boundaries and 11 sixes in his raging knock in the high-scoring game, the youngster eventually finished his DPL campaign with an astonishing strike rate of 185.71.

Out-striking even Purani Delhi-6 teammate and international star Rishabh Pant in the T20 event, Vansh Bedi grabbed the attention of certain bigwigs from the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) just ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. On the day of the bidding event in November 2024, the youngster’s services were acquired by the champion franchise for a sum of Rs.55 lakh, i.e., nearly double his base price value of Rs.30 lakh.
A couple of weeks after landing his maiden IPL contract, Bedi played his first senior-level match for Delhi, doing so in Mumbai for a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy game against Arunachal Pradesh.

The cricketer also excelled with the bat for the Wonders Club Noida back in late 2023 in the Nepal Pro Club Championship. In a low-scoring thriller against Nepal Police Club, the hard-hitting talent demonstrated his wares as a composed T20 batter by unfurling the innings of the match on a tough Birgunj surface.

Nonetheless, Vansh Bedi, a wicketkeeper-batter by profession, will surely carry his notebook into CSK’s IPL 2025 dressing room, where he could learn a tip or two from the legendary stumper himself, MS Dhoni.
