Digvesh Singh Rathi

Digvesh Singh Rathi burst into the limelight with a stellar campaign in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) season of 2024. Playing for the South Delhi Superstarz in the inaugural edition of the tournament, Digvesh impressed one and all, just weeks prior to the launch of the IPL 2025 mega auction in Saudi Arabia.

Born in December 1999 in Delhi, the aspiring cricketer emerged as one of captain Ayush Badoni’s biggest trump cards of the season. His cunning leg-breaks deceived nearly everyone, with his mystery spin and his ability of hiding the ball like West Indies great Sunil Narine unsettling his opponents.

Moreover, Rathi has an innate ability of extracting extra bounce off the surface, and the cricketer even managed to keep Indian international Rishabh Pant in check during the high-scoring opening thriller of the DPL 2024 season.

Finishing the tournament as its fifth highest wicket-taker, and the second highest among all spinners, Digvesh collected 14 wickets from just 10 innings at a splendid bowling average of 21.71. Amidst numerous high-scoring games that engulfed the DPL 2024 season, the leg-spinner maintained an economy rate of just 7.83 to play a key role in South Delhi Superstarz’ runners-up success in the competition.

A couple of months later in the IPL 2025 mega auction, the young tweaker took a step up the success ladder by bagging an INR 30 lakh base price deal with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) franchise. 

The following week, the cricketer made his domestic debut for the senior Delhi cricket team during the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy season.
