Player Bio

Rasikh Salam Dar is a right-arm medium pacer who represents Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) in India’s domestic circuit. He is the youngest cricketer to have debuted for the Mumbai Indians (MI) at 17 years and 353 days. Dar impressed the MI management with his ability to clock over 140 Kmph then.

The youngster made his debut for J&K in the 2018-19 season, where he was a part of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT), Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT), and the Ranji Trophy. However, he was banned by the BCCI in 2019 for two years after the player was found guilty of producing a forged birth certificate.

The right-arm pacer was training at the MI camp during the stint of his ban and was recently bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise in the 2022 mega-auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL), at his base price of INR 20 lakhs. Dar is the third cricketer to get an IPL contract from the state of J&K, and one can expect to witness him come back stronger at the top-drawer.
