Player Bio

Shivam Mavi was another fast bowling sensation that was unearthed in the ICC U-19 World Cup in 2018 and his superlative spells of accurate fast bowling helped him get the attention of the KKR team management. The KKR management decided to bank upon two raw Indian pacers that included Mavi and Nagarkoti. KKR bought his services for the IPL 2018 at Rs 3 crore.

Mavi debuted in the 2018 IPL against Mumbai Indians but was used only for one over and conceded 10 runs. He went to play 9 matches but could pick up only 5 wickets at a rather high economy rate of 9.64 runs per over. A stress fracture cut short his IPL journey as he was ruled out of the last IPL season.

Mavi will be itching to get on the field for KKR and show that he deserved all the backings and auction money he got in the 2018 IPL auction.
