Player Bio

Prince Choudhary is an Indian domestic cricketer who plays for Delhi. He is a right-arm leg-spinner and a right-handed batter.

In an inspiring tale of toil and tenacity, Prince surged beyond his limitations, making his unusual bowling action an asset that would often deceive the batters.

At a crucial juncture in his career, Prince was on the verge of giving up bowling due to the challenges of unorthodoxy. However, his mentor and paternal uncle, who had been instrumental in his training at the Quetta DAV school in Nizamuddin East, played a pivotal role in motivating him and paving the way for his career transformation.

Becoming a regular for Delhi in age-group cricket, Prince first impressed at the Under-14 level, taking five wickets in a North Zone tournament.

Prince's talent shone brightly in age-group cricket, particularly in the U-16 and U-19 levels. In the U-16 category, he elevated his game, grabbing 32 wickets in 14 matches, including four five-fors, in a single season. His prowess continued to impress as he represented Delhi in the U-23 and U-25 categories.

In one of his feats, he dismissed nine batters in a DDCA league match, displaying his limitless talent.

Punjab Kings bought him for INR 20 lakh in the IPL 2024 auction.

Prince was picked in Delhiā€™s squad for the Ranji Trophy 2023-24. However, as he did not get a game to start with, he attended the Punjab Kings camp in Mumbai instead, learning from Shikhar Dhawan, another Delhiite and franchise captain. Eventually, he made his Ranji debut against Odisha, scoring only one run and having no wickets to show for.
