Ubaid Shah is a promising right-arm fast-medium bowler. Born on February 5, 2006, in Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he comes from a city known for producing fast bowlers.

Interestingly, Ubaid comes from a family that has given three fast bowlers to the Pakistan Cricket. His elder brothers Naseem Shah and Hunain Shah have represented Pakistan at various levels.

Ubaid's domestic career began on February 17, 2024 with Islamabad United.

His debut wasn’t the best, but he has had a decent domestic T20 career, but he soon showcased his true mettle.

Sooner than later, Ubaid began to capitalize on every small opportunity he got. He shone brighter and worked harder. His notable performances were written in bold letters in the eyes of the PSL (Pakistan Super League) scouts.

Ubaid Shah rose during the 2024 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup held in South Africa. He was leading the bowling attack of the side and helped the team to reach the semi-finals.

His tournament statistics included 18 wickets at an impressive average of 12.38, with best figures of 5/44, helping him become the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. The cherry on top was Shah earning a place in the ICC's Team of the Tournament.

Ubaid is known for his ability to generate pace and movement, making him a formidable bowler in various conditions. His right-arm fast-medium deliveries have troubled many batters, and his right-handed batting adds depth to his all-round capabilities.
