Player Bio

Aravelly Avanish, an Indian wicket-keeper batter, has bagged an Indian Premier League (IPL) contract after his Under-19 turnover. Chennai Super Kings took a punt on his explosiveness and offered him INR 20 lakh for the 2024 season.

From the humble Pothugal village in Mustabad Mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district, Telangana, Avanish's journey to the IPL is a testament to his hard work and talent. He captained Hyderabad’s U-14 and U-19 sides, and his 183-run knock against Chennai at the junior-level cricket catapulted him into the spotlight.

He made his debut in List-A cricket in November 2023, playing against Services in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023-24.

One of Avanish's standout performances was a 93-ball 163 for India A U-19 in the Quadrangular series 2023. Despite India B U-19's early struggles, Avanish’s explosive batting turned the game around, leading his team to a thrilling victory.

In the Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2023-24, he notched up 274 runs in six innings at a strike-rate of 148.10. Avanish’s performance was recognised, as he was selected as a gloveman in the India U-19 squads for the Asia Cup 2023 and World Cup 2024.
