Jacobs went from strength to strength throughout the remainder of the 2023-24 Super Smash season, and the explosive middle-order batter finished his maiden senior T20 competition with 134 runs from six innings at a ferocious strike rate of 188.73.

Shifting his domestic base to Auckland the following year, Jacobs received his maiden first-class cap in the earlier stages of the 2024-25 Plunket Shield tournament. Batting in the middle order in each innings, the up-and-coming star celebrated the occasion by unleashing twin match-winning 70s against Wellington at the Basin Reserve.

Bevon Jacobs also excelled with the bat during his brief stint for South Brisbane in the Queensland T20 Max 2024 season, where he clubbed a 40-ball century against Toombull mere weeks prior to the IPL 2025 mega auction. Bevon’s booming knock seems to have reverberated across oceans to catch the attention of the Mumbai Indians franchise.

At the bidding event, Mumbai Indians raised the paddle to snap the 22-year-old for the IPL 2025 season at his base price of Rs.30 lakh.
