Player Bio

Arshin Kulkarni is an Indian domestic cricketer who plays for Maharashtra. He is an all-rounder, bats right-handed and bowls medium-pace.

Born in a doctor family, Arshin’s father, who himself is a failed cricketer, wanted his son to pursue the sport despite him being excellent in academics.

Arshin took his first big step in cricket when Cadence Cricket Academy took him under their wings in 2016-17. Originally from Solapur, Maharashtra, he stayed with his grandmother in Pune in a rented house close to the academy. He was already a regular member of Maharashtra’s Under-14 side by then.

The youngster displayed his prowess in the Maharashtra Premier League 2023 while playing for the Eagle Nashik Titans. Opening the batting in the match against Puneri Bappa, he smashed 117 runs off 54 deliveries. He took four wickets with the ball in the same fixture. He scored 195 runs in the tournament, including 19 sixes, the most among all the batters.

He made his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023-24.

In the final of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2023 versus Mumbai, Arshin hammered a century, taking Maharashtra to the title. He was also a prominent figure in the India A U-19 squad for the Quadrangular series, with India B U-19, England U-19, and Bangladesh U-19 being the other three teams in the competition. He smashed a ton in the final versus India B U-19 and saw his side lifting the trophy.

Arshin took three wickets and scored 70 runs against Afghanistan in the U-19 Asia Cup 2023. He notched up a hundred in the U-19 World Cup 2024 versus the USA, earning praise from his idol and senior counterpart, Hardik Pandya.

He found a bidder in the IPL 2024 auction as the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bagged his services for 20 lakh.
