Parunika Sudhir Sisodia is a bright fast bowling prospect for the Indian team. She represents the Delhi Women’s side in domestic cricket.
Sisodia trained at Ram Pal Cricket Academy (RPCA), Delhi, on the weekdays. She practised under the guidance of her school coach Athar Ali on the weekends in Meerut.
The fast bowler’s impressive performances in the U-19 circuit helped her be nominated to the Delhi team for the Senior Women’s One Day Trophy 2021-22. In her debut match, the 17-year-old finished with figures of 5/26 and stunned the cricket fraternity.
The Doula-born went on to pick a total of 12 wickets in five appearances and made her name for herself in the Indian domestic circuit.
In the U-19 T20 trophy in 2022, Sisodia scalped 11 wickets in five appearances at an average of 3.81. The youngster did well to put up her name for the national reckoning but could not make the cut for the U-19 T20 World Cup 2023.
Nevertheless, Gujarat Giants bought Sisodia for an amount of INR 10 Lakhs in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023.
