Kalita took up cricket at the age of 12 after gaining interest in the game by constantly dropping her brother at the cricket academy.
The 19-year-old represents the Assam state team for the past few years and is a key component in their pace bowling department. In addition, he can be a handy contributor with the willow in hand.
In the 2021-22 ACA Women’s T20 Challengers Trophy, the Guwahati-born bagged four wickets and scored 65 runs, which helped her team Dhansiri Dashers reach the final stage of the competition.
